What's New for the 2005 Audi A6? Completely redesigned for 2005, highlights of the new Audi A6 include a more powerful 3.2-liter V6 engine; an available adaptive air suspension; the inclusion of a Multi-Media Interface (MMI) system for stereo, navigation, and telematics control; and options such as Xenon headlights that swivel to illuminate around curves, keyless door locks and ignition starting, and radar-based cruise control. Soon after introduction, an S-line package will be available including a sport suspension and 18-inch wheels wearing performance tires.
Advantages of the 2005 Audi A6:
- Powerful engines
- Available all-wheel-drive
- Gorgeous interior materials
- Full complement of safety equipment
Objections to the 2005 Audi A6: - Funky new corporate grille
- Fussy MMI controls
Editor's Advice: Thanks to a complete, and overdue, redesign, the 2005 Audi A6 rises dramatically in appeal, even if its somewhat austere looks might still relegate it to wallflower status in the mid-luxury class. With a powerful new standard V6, an available V8, optional all-wheel-drive, the latest safety technologies, and some of the most sumptuous interior materials this side of a Bentley, the Audi A6 ought to be able to steal some thunder from class stalwarts like the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
